नमस्ते (namaste) is hello in Hindi. Although this card was from India, the stamps are USA post. Due to an unusual number of lost postcards sent through the Indian Post (well over 30), he now send the cards through the US Consular Postal System. In fact, he is from France, and he is a Franco-American foreign language teacher (French, English, Spanish) living in Mumbai, India.

I find something interesting in his profile:
Because some Indian postal workers like to collect postcards for themselves, if at all possible, please send your post card in an envelope. Thanks!

Description: Map of Taipei MRT system

I like this cute card very much. She loves map so I chose this one to her. When I was a student of senior high school, I took MRT to my school every day. We can eat and drink on the MRT, or we will get a fine. MRT is very convenient and clean. The Chieses words mean "we can play everywhere in the universe."

It's really interesting that one of my friend's great-grandfather is a Belorussian. But I didn't notice that until one day we went to a department store. The sales clerk asked her whether her ancestries comed from multiple races, or not. And then she told me herfriend's great-grandfather is a Belorussian. I was so surprised because I didn't notice it.

Description: 三峽祖師廟 / Sanshia Zushih Temple (Sanshia Tzushr Temple )

Founded in 1769, this temple offers sacrifices in worship for the divine Chingshuei Zushih. With the traditional delicate carving craft, Zushih Temple has won the title of " Oriental Art Palace" and attracted visitors, home and abroad, to pay a visit.
三峽祖師廟建於清乾34年,供奉清水祖師。廟宇以傳統工藝精雕而博得「東方藝術殿堂」之美譽,國內外訪客絡繹不絕。

Taiwan is a small island in East Asia (about 36,000 k㎡) but we have more than 14,000 temples like this in Taiwan. Every sixth day of the first month of the Chinese lunar calendar on Zushih-Gong's birthday, Tzushr Temple holds a Pigs of God (神豬) Contest. Farmers compete to raise the fattest pig, which during the competition day, the pig is decorated with ornaments. The fattest pig is then sacrificed to Zushih-Gong. Many poeple will go to Zushih Temple on that day so if you go through there, you will get in heavy jams.

Histiopteris incisa is a species of ferns. There are more than 20,000 species of ferns all over the world. There are more than 150 species in Europe (Tutin et al 1964), more than 400 species in North America (Lellinger 1985), and more than 400 species in Australia (McCarthy 1998). Taiwan is a small island (about 36,000 k㎡) but we have about 685 species in Taiwan. So we can see ferns everywhere!!! Histiopteris incisa is really beautiful. The leaves are like butterflies.
