Description: a front cover of the book
The book is an adventure fiction about Chinese mythology. There is a 9-tail fox. We call it Huli jing ( 狐狸精 means fox, and jing means spirit). The fox spirits encountered in tales and legends are usually females and appear as young, beautiful women. Now the term huli jing is a derogatory expression describing a woman who seduces a married man.
