Description: Yehliu Queen's Head / 野柳女王頭

Yehliu on the tip of northern Taiwan is a promontory noted for its fantastic rock formations, formed out of the elements through the ages. One of the favorite subjects is the Queen's head, which is like the ancient Egyptian Queen Nefertiti's head in shape.

野柳位於台灣北端,又名野柳龜,風光綺麗,有自然之奇岩怪石,其中以女王頭石最受矚目。

This is one of the most famous scenic spots of Taiwan. The head was eroded by sea, the sea kept eroing down, so the neck appeared. The chink of the head become bigger and deeper by weathering. The neck became longer and thinner by weathering. And the head rent along the joint, the head became half of the original. And the Queen's head appeared. But the neck still become thinner and thinner so one day the neck will rift.
