Taroko Gorge National Park, 27 km northwest of Hualien City, is near the east estuary of Liwu Stream. The entire gorge is cut out of marble. Sheer cliffs rise high around the turbulent mountain streams.
位於花蓮縣立霧溪流域，全長七十八公里，兩岸斷崖凌霄壁立，峽口當東西橫貫公路與蘇花公路之會合處，建有牌樓作為入峽攬勝之門。
